When it comes to ride closures, yesterday was NOT a great day in any of the four Disney World parks.
One water ride that JUST came out of refurbishment was closed for pretty much the whole day, numerous Magic Kingdom rides decided to act up, but when one of Hollywood Studios‘ most popular rides closes for four hours IN A ROW? Yeah, people were in for a bit of a rough time yesterday.
Magic Kingdom
TRON Lightcycle / Run had the highest wait time of 55 minutes, which isn’t bad at all for this close to Christmas, but it was a holiday party day, which helped. However, the park day started out rough. Haunted Mansion, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Mickey’s PhilharMagic all closed in the second hour of the park day, but fortunately came back up soon after. It was one of the first days in a while that we didn’t see Tiana’s Bayou Adventure have an issue in the morning, so that’s a win!

Hollywood Studios also didn’t have the best day when it came to ride closures, as Slinky Dog Dash was closed for four hours straight, then closed an additional hour later. Rise of the Resistance, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and Toy Story Mania also had closure issues, which were all attributed to the fact that Slinky Dog Dash had the highest wait of 100 minutes (when it WAS open, that is).
