Here’s What Everyone Gets Wrong About Disney World’s Slinky Dog Dash

We know, we know, ALL the experts are telling you that the only way to really ride everything you want to in Disney World with shorter waits is to rope drop the parks, even Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Well, here’s what happens. Because all the advice is telling you to rope drop, when you get to Hollywood Studios, Slinky Dog Dash has already formed a pretty long line…and that line stays long throughout the day. Well, we’re here to tell you it doesn’t have to be that way.​

Instead of rope dropping Slinky Dog Dash like everyone else is, wait. We know, we know…it’s hard to wait when you want to ride something, but if you wait until just before park close, you’re going to get a shorter line.

For example, Slinky Dog Dash only had a wait time of 35 minutes when Hollywood Studios closed yesterday. That’s a really good wait time for this ride, trust us.

Even better? If you’re using Lightning Lane Multi Pass, grab a time for Slinky to ride it earlier in the day and then circle back and ride it again just before the park closes. Twice the Slinky Dog Dash is twice the fun!
