It's Official. People Want This RARE EPCOT Ride Change to Stick Around!

September 21st was a pretty wild day in one Disney World park, but if you knew it was coming, you likely weren’t caught off guard.

However, we know for a fact that there are a lot of people who head into Disney World and don’t do a ton of research or planning beforehand (whatever floats your boat, but we think research, at least a little, is ESSENTIAL for a Disney parks trip!). If you were in EPCOT yesterday and DIDN’T know it was a special day for Cosmic Rewind, you were likely VERY frustrated.

Magic Kingdom

As it was a party night, we were curious to see how wait times would pan out, and weren’t totally shocked to see that TRON Lightcycle / Run only hit a 65-minute wait right in the middle of the day! While Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure both had some issues at the start of the day, all rides were functioning properly during the party.

EPCOT

Yesterday was a VERY special day in EPCOT, because one attraction had a limited-time overlay that only lasted for ONE day! Cosmic Rewind celebrated the “21st night of September” by playing “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire on the attraction all day, instead of cycling through the six different songs that usually play on the attraction. That’s why it doesn’t shock us that this ride hit a 175-minute wait! We understand how perfect it is for September 21st, but we wish each song got a special day. Or, even better, make this a month-long change since people obviously love it so much!

Animal Kingdom was pretty popular yesterday, with Flight of Passage hitting a 90-minute wait not once, but TWICE! Expedition Everest also had some issues, closing three times throughout the day, but we’re hoping it’ll get itself together soon, because we don’t want this ride to struggle!
