The BIG Ride Problem You’ll Face at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Right Now

There is a lot going on in Disney’s Animal Kingdom right now.

DinoLand, U.S.A. has already started its phased closure to make way for a new land, Pueblo Esperanza. It’s Tough To Be A Bug recently closed to make way for Zootopia: Better Zoogether. This means that there’s even LESS to do in Animal Kingdom now, and ride wait times are being affected.​

Yep, ride wait times in Animal Kingdom have been going up now that there’s less to do in that park. That means that almost every ride (except for Dinosaur) has pretty high wait times during at least part of the day. So if you don’t have Lightning Lane Multi Pass in Animal Kingdom, you might find yourself standing in long lines for rides.

Here’s the thing, though: because there aren’t a lot of rides in Animal Kingdom, you might think that Lightning Lane Multi Pass isn’t worth it. But what can you do instead of standing in long lines? Well, there are OTHER things to do in Animal Kingdom beyond rides. There are walking trails with views of animals, as well as the Wildlife Express Train that can take you to Rafiki’s Planet Watch, where you can pet animals, see Disney veterinarians doing their thing, and learn to draw a Disney character.

So, if you find yourself in Animal Kingdom facing long lines, you might want to consider doing other things that don’t include rides. Things are probably going to get even trickier once Dinosaur closes (meaning there’s one less ride), so it’s worth considering.
