ALERT: A MAJOR Part of DinoLand Is Permanently Closing in Disney World

Well, today’s the day, folks.

DinoLand in Animal Kingdom

After knowing it was coming for the last few years and then getting the official announcement that the land would be closing last year, today is the day we say goodbye to part of DinoLand U.S.A. forever.

Today, January 12th, is the final day you can experience three different areas of DinoLand, U.S.A. before they permanently close. Now, again, the entire land isn’t closing on January 13th, and we actually know that you’ll be able to ride the beloved Dinosaur attraction through the end of 2025.

Specifically, today is the last day to experience the following:

  • TriceraTop Spin
  • Chester & Hester’s DinoRama (including Fossil Fun Games)
  • Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures
TriceraTop Spin

This also means that the park will be down an attraction (joining Kali River Rapids, which is also currently down for its annual refurbishment during the winter months), which could mean we will see longer lines for other attractions around the park.

This land could be busier today than normal because we’re all saying goodbye, so pack your patience and take in all the sights as you walk through! In fact, Cast Members set up stanchions at the carnival games in anticipation of longer lines later today.

Disney is preparing for crowds later today!

Be sure to stay tuned to AllEars because we’ll let you know what the construction walls look like first thing in the morning!

  1. It’s sad Disney has to destroy Dinoland. Disney has been doing a lot of changing . That’s the biggest reason my family has not renewed our annual passes. I just can’t anymore.
