Disney World’s app just got ANOTHER update and this is one we think you’ll want to pay close attention to.

Disney World is gearing up for changes around its parks and that’s also lead to a few updates within its app! Most recently with the closure of Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and Liberty Belle Riverboat, Disney World updated Magic Kingdom’s park map to remove the attractions. However, when one (or multiple doors) close in this case, there’s another one that opens shortly afterwards and this is an update you’ve been waiting for!
EPCOT’s Test Track ride has been closed for over a year, undergoing a massive refurbishment. And while we’ve already had a chance to preview the changes to the attraction set to debut on July 20th, Disney World is making more previews available to select groups soon.

Days ago, Disney World announced that previews of the reopening ride will be offered to Annual Passholders beginning on July 13th, and continuing on the 14th, 15th, 16th, 18th, and 19th, leading up to the official opening date. They also announced that a virtual queue system would be made available for Annual Passholders looking to snag a ride during these preview dates.

Disney further went on to explain that to be eligible for the virtual queue, Annual Passholders would need to have an EPCOT park reservation for the day to attempt to secure a spot in the virtual queue at 7 AM or you could try again later at 1 PM (without needing a park reservation).

Now it seems that Disney World is beginning to get things ready for the virtual queue process to go live for APs! We recently spotted another change in the My Disney Experience app, which now features an area where you can see EPCOT’s Test Track listed in the virtual queue options and reiterates the info that Disney has shared up to this point about the process.

If you’re not seeing the option listed on your version of the app, you’ll want to be certain that you’ve updated it from the app store and refreshed it — especially if you’re an Annual Passholder with your eye on a chance to snag an early ride!
Of course, we’ll be testing out the virtual queue process when it goes live, following the crowds, and more right up through reopening day of the ride! Be sure to check back with us at AllEars for all the latest updates and more.
