When it comes to dining in Disney World, one park stands above the rest!

EPCOT is known for its snacks, meals, and drinks when it comes to theme park food, especially because you can travel around the globe within the World Showcase. One of our favorite snack stands in the park just got a new addition, and we’re headed to Germany to see how it holds up!
If you’ve ever needed a good snack in EPCOT, you’ve probably checked out the Germany Pavilion before. This is where you can find Sommerfest, a walk-up quick service that serves up beer, bratwursts, pretzel bread pudding, and jumbo pretzels!

We love this spot because it offers tasty, adventurous bites that still offer familiar flavors. We absolutely love how easy it is to grab a snack from this quick service, thanks to the mobile ordering and its walk-up window. Now, they’ve added something new to their menu to make a classic even better.

We went to try the house-made Obatzda Cheese Dip for $1.50! It’s a traditional Bavarian cheese spread that’s meant to be rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. So, how does it actually taste?

This dip is creamy and super thick, reminding us of the consistency of a macaroni salad. Taste-wise, it reminded us of a fluffier pimento cheese without any heat or spice to it! It was super soft, and the texture was like icing in a savory way.

We added it to our salty and soft giant pretzel for the best upgrade ever! The combination was savory and really nice.

We were really pleased to find that we enjoyed this fluffy side, especially because it’s an inexpensive upgrade. If you prefer a beer cheese that isn’t as thick or fluffy, you can also check out the Pretzel Nuggets at Block and Hans for $8.50.

We were huge fans of these bites and believe you can’t go wrong with either. The jumbo pretzel and a side of Obatzda cheese were $13.49. It was also super shareable, which we love. There are so many amazing EPCOT snacks, and we love it when a classic one gets even better.

EPCOT is about to begin its annual International Food and Wine Festival on August 28th, 2025, but until then, you can find us at Sommerfest! As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney snacks and food reviews.
