While we love eating and drinking around EPCOT, there are some snacks we won’t be grabbing at this park.

Before we get into the snacks we avoid, we want to hear YOUR thoughts! Leave a review right here on AllEars for the restaurants you’ve been to so you can help out fellow Disney lovers planning their next trip!

The classic Mickey Pretzel might be iconic, but we skip it when in EPCOT. Instead, head over to the Germany pavilion to Sommerfest, where you’ll find a freshly baked pretzel that’s bigger, softer, and packed with way more flavor. It feels like the real deal—and honestly, it is. It is $11.99, but it’s a very shareable snack.

Grabbing a Mickey ice cream bar from one of the carts around EPCOT sounds tempting when it’s hot out, but skip the generic stuff and make your way to L’Artisan des Glaces in the France pavilion. The handcrafted flavors and rich textures are next-level, and you’ll thank yourself for holding out for something truly special. There might be a line at this popular spot, but we promise it’s worth it.

The turkey leg at the American pavilion is a hard pass for us. Not only is it massive and unwieldy, but the greasy mess and oddly smoky flavor just don’t hit the spot. There are too many amazing options around World Showcase to waste your appetite here. Instead, if you are looking for a smoky flavor, head into Regal Eagle for some barbecue.

This one pains us to say, the bakery in France, Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, is incredible — but it can also be a madhouse. It gets very crowded in here, especially around breakfast and lunch. If you want to avoid standing in a long, slow-moving line, aim to visit in the mid-afternoon lull, around 3 PM. It’s worth the effort for the pastries, sandwiches, and sweets you’ll find here.

Generic Disney popcorn is fine in a pinch, but don’t settle when you’re in EPCOT. Instead, swing by Karamell-Küche in the Germany pavilion for some freshly made caramel popcorn. It’s warm, rich, and addictive. We can’t promise you won’t also want to purchase other items from here as well.

The cheese empanadas in the Mexico pavilion outdoor quick service are always my favorite thing to eat in EPCOT. I grab some right before the fireworks since it’s not far from the handicap viewing area to eat during the show, absolutely love them! I will honestly sometimes skip festival food in favor of those empanadas.
