Summer is coming to an end, and that means that the number of families taking summer trips to Disney World could be declining.
Can you believe it? We can’t; it feels like summer just started! Now, we have a few more months of hot weather to survive, but how does school starting impact the wait times in Disney World? Let’s take a look!
Here’s a look at the Disney World wait times on July 27th, 2024. We noticed an interesting trend at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The wait times were surprisingly HIGH in that park — especially compared to Magic Kingdom!

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the highest wait time of 75 minutes, but that’s not bad, especially considering HOW many rides went down throughout the day! We’re not kidding — NINE different rides closed throughout the day, which is pretty wild. So, the fact that wait times still stayed relatively low is a good sign!

A similar trend happened in EPCOT — Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure had the highest wait time of 70 minutes, but that was right before closing for the remaining 3 hours of the day. It was joined by three other rides that went down throughout the day, and EPCOT doesn’t have that many rides, so not seeing a huge jump in wait times is impressive.

Even though Animal Kingdom had very few ride issues throughout the day, Flight of Passage had the highest wait in all four parks by a long shot: 160 minutes! Granted, it dropped soon after, but we’re surprised to see that this ride still attracts the massively high waits it does (it’s amazing, don’t get us wrong, but seeing it this popular still after so many years is a little abnormal).
