The One EPCOT Ride That Could TOTALLY Let You Down

You’ve got it all planned out: your perfect vacation in Disney World.

​Now, don’t get us wrong — there’s nothing wrong with planning, but you need to leave some flexibility in your daily schedule. That’s because things sometimes happen. Weather can throw a huge wrench in your plans at the parks. You’ll also have to deal with the fact that ride closures happen and be able to deal with that on the fly. If you have a priority ride on your to-do list and it closes, though, there’s potential to ruin your day.

A popular ride in EPCOT was struggling yesterday, July 18th. Frozen Ever After was closed when the park opened and remained closed until noon. That could seriously upset your plans, especially if you’re making your way around World Showcase and need to backtrack to get on the ride later (and that can be a LOOOONNNG walk).

So, what can you do? Well, just go ahead and go on with your day. You can keep an eye on the ride’s status via the My Disney Experience app so you’ll know when the ride reopens. Then you can make plans to add it back into your day, if there’s still time. At least there are still plenty of other things to see and do in Disney parks, so even if you miss out on a ride you’d had your heart set on, your day is not truly ruined.
