It's a cute ride and more interesting than most boat rides. However, the wait times can be more than it's worth for the majority of the day. I would recommend going early, late, or getting a Lightning Lane for it.

Pros:

Upgraded river ride, good for fans of the movies and kids

Cons:

wait times are over the top and it often goes down for periods of the day.

The stand-by wait time was posted as being 75 minutes. We thought that seemed a little long but had never been on this ride so figured we would just wait. 75 minutes later and maybe in the middle of the line, a worker came on the loudspeaker saying wait times were longer than expected. No kidding. Meanwhile, the lightning lane had people moving on non-stop while we could be standing in the same spot for 15-20 minutes then only move maybe 10 feet if that then repeat. It got to the point where we actually had to get out of line after all that time wasted because otherwise we would have missed our dinner reservations. After that, it became a mission/vendetta to conquer this ride so we waited a long time again with lightning pass traffic seeming to make the wait times longer. We finally got on the ride and guess what...the ride completely shut down RIGHT at the climax. Lights were turned on and a worker even came out and yelled at a toddler sitting in front of us. We sat there like that for about 15 minutes before the ride slowly resumed. Therefore, our experience was very frustrating and disappointing and honestly even without the ride breaking down, it was underwhelming.

Pros:

Cute

Cons:

Frozen is an incredible ride. Line can get a little long, but the wait feels very short. Music and characters are in incredible. First time we went backwards my stomach dropped.

Pros:

Frozen themed, accessible, family friendly, interesting line, line goes quickly

Cons:

Line can get long, low capacity

Line queue is extremely unbalanced. The lightning lane loads non stop while the stand by just stands still for 8-10 minutes and then only moved toward 10-15 feet. This causes the ride time to increase 30-45 minutes beyond the posted stand by time while you’re in the middle of the line. It’s frustrating !!! People around us were upset, 20 people gave up and left the line !!! In 20 years of fast pass, max pass and now lightning lane, I’ve never seen this. I give this a rating of 1 because Disney knows about this and does nothing. The ride is short, the story and Disney magic is not as polished as expected.

Pros:

Cute rides for kids Amazing if you have a fast pass… which isn’t necessary for Epcot.

Cons:

Line queue is beyond bad and stand by times posted are unreliable. The line isn’t long, you just don’t move fast due to non stop lightning lane loading. Short ride, lacking story telling and Disney magic. Disney knows about the line issues and won’t fix the issue.

Cute ride but nothing special. For sure not worth the super long waits that it has. Little kids that are fans of Frozen will love this ride but it doesn’t really have much more going for it

Pros:

Great for Frozen fans Good for all ages

Cons:

Nothing special Unjustified loooong waits!

Kids will love this ride for the Frozen theme and parents will love this ride for the (albeit minimal) thrill factor. Beware, though -- the line is always long and it's usually the ride that people rope drop. Norway is also a small pavilion so there isn't much to do there outside of wait in line, which sometimes flows out into the World Showcase walkway.

Pros:

Kids will probably love, animatronics are cute

Cons:

Goes backwards, small drop, Frozen, you may get wet!

Waited in a 55 minute line which was way too much. The best part was seeing Olaf at the beginning. It was not a smooth ride and was bumpy.

Pros:

Frozen animatronics and music.

Cons:

Got wet. Screened faces on animatronics didn’t work very well.

Look, discussions about Frozen Ever After are FROUGHT with those who lament the loss of Maelstrom to become this ride. As someone who loved Maelstrom and it’s storytelling, I get it. I am also not going to sit here and be ignorant to the fact that Frozen is using the same ride system just re-themed to Frozen.

However, all of that is still not enough to make me suggest that this is not a fun ride, because it absolutely is! Some great animatronics, a chance to take a boat ride into Arendel and see some of the most popular characters in all of Disney IP, and a fun little drop at the end that is JUST thrilling enough without being too much, make this ride well worth a try.

I get it. Frozen is not true Nordic history, and “EPCOT has abandoned its commitment to edutainment”. However, I disagree on both accounts, as the best edutainment adapts to the interests and tastes of the time. And Frozen is ABSOLUTELY the interest of the time. Open the door to Nordic culture with Frozen and then the real magic of the actual culture is more accessible and connectable. But I digress.

Go on Frozen Ever After if you can. It’s fun, it’s well executed, and it’s delightful for Frozen fans (AKA everyone).

One major gripe: The wait times for this start pretty high and don’t often drop much throughout the day. The ride is worth a 45-60 minute wait. Try not to wait longer. The queue is fun though!

Pros:

Fun ride with light thrills Great use of the IP and music

Cons:

Wait times often far longer than is ideal
