Did Wait Times DROP With Holiday Crowds This Week in Disney World?

As we come to the end of May, so does this month’s list of wait times!

Tower of Terror

As you get ready to head to the parks this summer, you’re going to want to know what the queues are like around the Disney World property. And, we’re breaking down what the average wait times were like in Disney World this past week!

Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom continued to have somewhat lower wait times than you’d expect for the start of summer vacation. Popular attractions like Peter Pan’s Flight and Space Mountain only had 25 minute and 35 minute waits

Peter Pan’s Flight

…while the highest wait times in the parks were at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Splash Mountain with 45 minutes and 49 minutes.

Carousel of Progress: 8 minutes
Dumbo the Flying Elephant: 9 minutes
Magic Carpets of Aladdin: 10 minutes
Mad Tea Party: 11 minutes
Tomorrowland Speedway: 11 minutes
Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini: 8 minutes
Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid: 11 minutes
Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: 19 minutes
Mickey’s PhilharMagic: 22 minutes
Haunted Mansion: 14 minutes
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin: 17 minutes
Prince Charming Regal Carrousel: 16 minutes
Astro Orbiter: 25 minutes
Peter Pan’s Flight: 25 minutes
it’s a small world: 20 minutes
Space Mountain: 35 minutes
Jungle Cruise: 39 minutes
Pirates of the Caribbean: 31 minutes
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: 19 minutes
Splash Mountain: 49 minutes
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: 45 minutes
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover: 14 minutes
Liberty Square Riverboat: 1 minute
Tom Sawyer Island: 8 minutes

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Attractions had a mixed bag of wait times as there were both increases and decreases around the parks. A few rides had similar waits like Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at 36 minutes

…while Slinky Dog Dash‘s 68 minute wait times soared above the other attractions with the closest at 43 minutes at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy: 16 minutes
Muppet Vision 3D: 18 minutes
Alien Swirling Saucers: 23 minutes
Star Tours – The Adventures Continue: 26 minutes
Toy Story Mania: 30 minutes
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith: 36 minutes
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run: 43 minutes
Twilight Zone Tower of Terror: 36 minutes
Slinky Dog Dash: 68 minutes
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway: 35 minutes

EPCOT

A few of EPCOT’s attractions were on the higher side for wait times with Mission: SPACE and Soarin‘ tied at 42 minutes.

Other long waits were at spots like Frozen Ever After with 39 minutes and Test Track with 47 minutes.

The Seas with Nemo and Friends: 12 minutes
Gran Fiesta Tour: 6 minutes
Living with the Land: 8 minutes
Journey into Imagination: 12 minutes
Spaceship Earth: 14 minutes
Mission: SPACE: 42 minutes
Soarin’: 42 minutes
Frozen Ever After: 39 minutes
Test Track: 47 minutes

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Wait times at Disney’s Animal Kingdom increased a bit as Avatar Flight of Passage was just shy of passing Slinky Dog Dash with 65 minutes.

Pandora

The other longer wait times were at Kali River Rapids with 24 minutes, Na’vi River Journey with 36 minutes, and Kilimanjaro Safaris with 39 minutes.

Dinosaur: 19 minutes
It’s Tough to Be a Bug: 15 minutes
Expedition Everest: 17 minutes

Avatar Flight of Passage: 65 minutes

  1. Saturday, May 29, we did 9 rides and 2 shows between 10:30am and 4pm, with several 10 to 20 breaks. I do have a GAP, but lines were so low the CMs didn’t bother to give us a return time, just walked on through the fastpass line, which is only used for handicap GAP return times. Even our longest wsit was 30 minutes? For 7 Dwarfs Mine ride.
    Also, so excited! Just watched 10 to 15 minutes of FIREWORKS from EPCOT. started a bit before 10pm, and it was great!
