PHOTOS: Disney’s Beach Club Resort Reopens in Disney World!

Over the past several months, many things have changed in Disney World.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort

Mask policies have been updated, hotels and restaurants have reopened, and a whole bunch of other things have changed. Today, something else is different in Disney World — Disney’s Beach Club Resort has reopened!!

You may be thinking to yourself, didn’t Disney’s Beach Club Resort already reopen? Why is it reopening twice? Well, the Disney Vacation Club Villas at Disney’s Beach Club Resort have been open for months, but their standard rooms have not been available during this time.

Beach Club Resort

So, while you could stay at the DVC villas at the Beach Club for the past few months, starting today you’ll also be able to stay in their standard hotel rooms.

Beach Club Lobby

Like other Disney hotels, the Beach Club has reopened with specific health and safety measures in place, so we decided to head over to see everything that has changed. Come along with us for the reopening!

Health and Safety Regulations

Check-In and Lobby

Guests continue to be distanced around the check-in area, and masks are required at all times while in indoor public spaces. However, guests can go maskless at outdoor locations.

Resort Entrance

A quick reminder that you do not need to stop by the front desk if you’ve already completed your check-in process online and you have a MagicBand that you’ll be using or you’ve activated your digital key.

Beach Club Elevators

Be sure to be courteous to those around you now that the Beach Club is fully opened to guests in both the regular rooms and villas! So, continue to wear your masks, social distance, and pay mind to health and safety regulations.

Beach Club Rooms

While you’re staying at the resort, there are also plenty of amenities open to guests at this time too!

What Is Currently Open

Dining

If you’re looking for food, there are a few options available at the Beach Club. Beaches and Cream Soda Shop has been open for quite some time.

Bailey’s Brownie Sundae with Coffee Ice Cream

Cape May Cafe recently reopened for both breakfast and dinner with a family-style meal.

Doesn’t that look AMAZING?!

Beach Club Marketplace is also open, as is Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar & Grill and Martha’s Vineyard. Mobile Order is available at the Marketplace.

Grab and Go Refrigerator

You can also stop by the nearby Yacht Club Resort for some more dining options.

Shopping

If you’re looking to do some shopping, you can stop by Beach Club Marketplace and grab some plushes, pins, and more.

Pools

One of the best features of the Beach Club is its pool, or rather entire water park area, Stormalong Bay. This mini water park area reopened last year.

Stormalong Bay

This area has a massive sand-bottomed pool with a lazy river, a 230-foot water slide, and three whirlpool spas.

Stormalong Bay

You can enjoy everything this water area has to offer if you stay at the Yacht or Beach Club Resorts, BUT this spot can get VERY busy. Because this area is operating under a limited capacity, sometimes extremely long lines can form just to get in. You could be stuck waiting for quite a while in that line just to get into the pool area, so if you’re planning to stay here during the summer, you may want to visit the pool early to give yourself the best chance of getting in with no/little line.

Other Amenities and Recreation

Guests at the Beach Club can enjoy a number of other amenities. Typically, you’ll be able to find some Movies Under the Stars being played during your stay.

Solarium

The Crescent Solarium is also open for guests to relax in.

Transportation

Disney’s Beach Club Resort offers a number of different transportation options. First, if you’re looking to get to Disney’s Animal Kingdom or Magic Kingdom, you can hop on a bus from the hotel.

If you want to get to EPCOT, you could walk there or take a friendship boat. If you want to get to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll also be able to walk (although that walk is a bit longer) or take a friendship boat.

A leisurely ride!

Guests at the Beach Club could also walk over to the Disney Skyliner station at EPCOT and hop on the Skyliner there to get to any of the Skyliner hotels or even transfer to to line that takes guests to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The Disney Skyliner

Note that the Skyliner will be undergoing some refurbishment and will be closed for a few days in 2022.

Masks

As a reminder, masks may be removed in public, outdoor areas and on pool decks (and while swimming), but masks are still required in all indoor locations at the hotel including restaurants, shops, and the lobby.

Masks are also still required on all transportation and transportation entrances.

Rooms

With this reopening, as we mentioned above, the standard rooms at the Beach Club reopened. The DVC villas will remain open at the hotel as well.

Rooms

And that’s it! Basically, things are generally the same at the Beach Club as they have been, with the addition of the standard rooms now being open. We’ll keep an eye out for any updates and details about future Disney World hotel reopenings and let you know what we find.

  1. Is the water slide open at Beach Club? I know it was closed for refurbishments earlier in 2021
