As Disney World’s parks and resorts have made progress in their initial reopening plan, more places around the property have been welcoming guests back!

Previously, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort was only open to guests with previous reservations or people who had Advanced Dining Reservations at the restaurants at the resort. However, the Yacht Club has officially reopened today, and we’re taking you with us on a FULL tour of what you can expect!
While there are still no temperature checks in place, guests visiting the Yacht Club are asked to go through the health and safety measures prior to entering the resorts. Just like we’ve seen in the parks and other resorts, everyone is required to wear face masks in public places around the property.

Not everything is open at the moment at the Yacht Club as they are limited menus and capacity within the resort. However, fan-favorites like Beaches and Cream and the Ale and Compass are open, as well as in-room dining (so you can chill out and watch Disney movies in bed).

Along with the pools being open, guests can also participate in the Movie Under the Stars event with different Disney films playing outside all week long.

While we were there, the lobby was a lot quieter than we’ve normally seen it in the past…

…and certain sections of the lobby’s seating were blocked off as a distancing measure for guests’ safety.

Although there are multiple places that have opened around the Yacht Club, the Yachtsman Steakhouse is closed currently…

…along with the Crew’s Cup Lounge.

But, you can still pick up a snack or two along with plenty of other goodies over at The Market instead!

The quick-stop has roped off areas around the store and distancing markers on the ground to guide guests visiting.

Plus, there are directional arrows to direct traffic as you pick up some breakfast treats for your room…

…or pick out a new souvenir to take home to your family and friends!

Maybe you can even snag some of that NBA gear for your basketball fans back home (we bet it will be a slam dunk with them)!

There were also Disney Character Face Masks out and about so you can grab an extra mask to take with you to the parks for only $6 each.

The Ale and Compass Restaurant and Lounge are both open for everyone to wine and dine while they’re at the Yacht Club! Guests are required to wear masks at all times, except when they are eating or drinking.

The check-in area has a plexiglass barrier to distance Cast Members and visitors as well as a QR code to look at the menu before entering.

There’s also printed menus listed behind a plastic covering so you know if Ale and Compass is the right fit for your party’s taste that evening!

While there is hand sanitizer available before entering the restaurant and lounge, parties are also kept apart from one another…

…with the use of sectioned off seating and distancing markers on the ground.

The ferries are currently not operating from the resorts right now (but you can still admire that gorgeous view of the BoardWalk on the pier).

But, the beach is open for everyone to get some good ole’ Vitamin D…

…before heading over to take a dip in the pool! Stormalong Bay is following health and safety guidelines to make sure that swimmers and loungers are having a great time. Although guests must wear masks if they are walking around the pool area, they don’t have to wear them at the lounge chairs or while swimming.

Lifeguards are still on duty to watch out for everyone splashing in the pool…

…or floating along in the lazy river of the Yacht Club’s pool.

Pool chairs are distanced six feet apart from one another, and guests are asked not to move them as a safety precaution.

If you’re craving a pool side drink or something off the grill, Hurricane Hanna’s is open after you work up an appetite from all that swimming.

While you can check the menu on the QR code given to guests…

…there’s also a physical menu around the corner before you enter the line to order.

Hurricane Hanna’s has distancing markers on the ground for everyone to wait behind as they wait their turn to grab a sandwich or salad from the bar.

As we continue exploring the newly re-opened resorts, we’ll take you with us to get a first look at what you can expect before your next Disney vacation!
