Universal Epic Universe is an amazing theme park with so many incredible lands and must-do attractions. So when planning your visit, you’ll want to know about any closures so you can be prepared and have the most EPIC day possible!
So if you’re planning a trip in May, you’ll want to pay attention because there are a few closures that you need to know about that could affect your day, especially if you want to train like a Viking.
Epic Universe has multiple portals, with one of the most popular being Isle of Berk, where you get transported into the world of How To Train Your Dragon.
The theming of this entire land is that you are training to be a Viking. With all the rides, Hiccups Wing Gliders, Fyre Drill, and Dragon Racer’s Rally each reflect this theme.
However, there is another area in this land called the Viking Training Camp. This is a playground where little kids can run around, explore, and train to become Vikings! However, unfortunately, this experience will be closed from May 4th to May 22nd.
While this closure will not affect most guests visiting Berk, it is important to know, especially if you have a dragon-loving kiddo in your party who was excited to train in Berk.
However, if you have a little one who loves How To Train Your Dragon but might not be tall enough for the bigger rides, they can hop on Fyre Drill, which has no height restrictions, or go see the incredible show The Untrainable Dragon!
However, it’s almost important to note that there is currently one other minor ride closure scheduled for May.
Over in Donkey Kong Country, the extremely popular Mine-Cart Madness rollercoaster is set to be closed on May 3rd. While this closure is very brief its always best to be prepared, and if this is a must-do for you, maybe choose a different day to visit Epic.
