Mayor Buddy Dyer has stated that “We will do social distancing best we can around the lake, we’ll have vendors space that along the path, and encourage people that are fully vaccinated that is fine to come without a mask, and if you’re not fully vaccinated we encourage you to wear masks.”

Despite waiting a prolonged period of time to know whether the event would happen or not, the recent updates in the health and safety precautions allow for food and drink vendors and families to return. Dyer has stated that “We’re doing a really good job of protecting ourselves and protecting our families and protecting her neighbors and doing the right thing with regard to health and science.”
WKMG-TV News 6 General Manager Jeff Hoffman has stated that News 6 and Click Orlando will broadcast the fireworks for those who want to watch at home. As a reminder, fully vaccinated individuals can go maskless outdoors. The Fireworks at the Fountain broadcast will begin live at 9:15 PM as coverage of the event starts at 8 PM.
