There are some rides in Disney World that we normally see get pretty high wait times. Attractions like Flight of Passage, Rise of the Resistance, and Test Track usually have wait times well over an hour, even during less busy times of year, but other rides? Yeah, we know something is wrong when they get too high.
That’s especially true for rides like Soarin’ due to its extremely high capacity. Therefore, if you ever see those rides get high wait times like we saw yesterday, we’re begging you NOT to get in line — instead, it’s better to wait until it drops again!
Let’s take a look at wait times from Saturday, January 17th, 2026.
Magic Kingdom
TRON Lightcycle / Run hit a 120-minute wait just two hours before park close, confirming that at night is still the most popular time to ride this attraction. We are a little concerned to see that Carousel of Progress and Under the Sea both closed for two hours throughout the day, since both of those attractions aren’t super technologically advanced, but we’re hoping it was just a fluke and they’ll even out!

Wait times on day two of Festival of the Arts seemed to calm down a bit, as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind only had a 105-minute wait at its most popular time. We were shocked to see Soarin’ jump up to a 90-minute wait, though, but we have a feeling that was due to an issue with parts of the ride’s seating, as it dropped back down to 20 minutes the next hour.

Honestly, we could see people hitting Animal Kingdom in the morning, then hopping over to EPCOT to experience the festival for the rest of the day once all the booths open!

However, Tower of Terror seemed to have some issues too, hitting a 120-minute wait in the middle of the day before dropping to 65 minutes the next hour. When this happens, it usually means that half of the elevator shafts go down, essentially doubling the wait time.
