We’re officially in that no man’s land between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, where we all basically have no idea what day it is, you can eat whatever you want without it mattering, and we’re all waiting to get back on track for the new year.
That’s especially true if you’re ALSO on Disney vacation time, where time basically ceases to exist altogether (at least, it does in our experience). Going right along with that trend, something happened in Disney World yesterday that we haven’t seen in MONTHS — this one Animal Kingdom ride hit nearly a 200-minute wait, and was the ride with the highest wait time in the WHOLE resort!

TRON Lightcycle / Run hit a 115-minute wait about three hours before the end of the park day, and we’re thrilled to say that the only ride issue was “it’s a small world” with a brief one-hour closure! Now, that’s an AMAZING day for Magic Kingdom, especially during such a busy time of year.

To our MAJOR surprise, Animal Kingdom was wildly busy all day, with Avatar Flight of Passage hitting a 190-minute wait at the very end of the park day! This was likely due to the fact that Animal Kingdom being open until 8 PM is pretty rare due to the animals’ schedule and safety, so lots of people wanted to experience the park after dark. It’s certainly not something you can experience very often, so we get it!

Toy Story Mania had another rough day yet again, hitting a 125-minute wait due to internal issues (that didn’t shut down the ride totally), before dropping down to just 25 minutes only an hour later! Rise of the Resistance, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and Tower of Terror also all had a few issues, but they were short-lived.
