Don’t Bother Buying Lightning Lane Single Pass for This Magic Kingdom Ride

When it comes to planning your Disney World trip, you’re probably taking a look at Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass to see which would benefit you and help you save time in lines in Disney World.

Now, purchasing these ticket add-ons can be helpful, but sometimes you just don’t really need them. Take, for example, Lightning Lane Single Pass — is it worth it for a ride that has a relatively short wait time? The answer is pretty simple: probably not.​

For example, yesterday in Magic Kingdom, TRON Lightcycle/Run, which has the Lightning Lane Single Pass option, had some pretty high wait times throughout the day. However, there were times during the day when those wait times dropped to 35 and 40 minutes, which is relatively short for that ride.

So rather than purchase Lightning Lane Single Pass for that ride, you might be better off just keeping an eye on ride wait times on the My Disney Experience app and jumping in line when the wait times go down. This would save you some $$, especially if you want to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass for other rides with high wait times.

  1. Why would you tell people not to buy the individual LL for Tron…. Yes,maybe this week if u don’t mind standing in line for over 30 min then don’t buy it but it is defiantly worth it for that ride overall.
