It's HOT in Disney World - Here's How This One Ride Line Lets Us Know

Hot temperatures are beginning to creep into Orlando, and that means many things.

For one, hydration is even MORE important than normal days in the park, you’ll want to have essentials to keep you cool, and, as we’re seeing, some Disney World lines are pretty severely affected by higher temperatures outside, and you should plan ahead for them on your trip!

Magic Kingdom

TRON Lightcycle / Run hit a 90-minute wait at the very END of the day, but Tiana’s Bayou Adventure wasn’t far behind with an 85-minute wait. Thankfully, only four rides closed throughout the day, and each for only one hour, which was an improvement!

Epcot

Cosmic Rewind had the highest wait of 95 minutes, but Soarin’ wasn’t far behind with an 80-minute wait! However, EPCOT struggled pretty intensely with ride closures — Gran Fiesta Tour, Spaceship Earth, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure all closed throughout the day, and for a park that already has fewer rides (and one of the most popular still under construction), that didn’t bode well.

Flight of Passage only hit a 70-minute wait, which is pretty great for heading into the summer season! Kali River Rapids closed once during the day, but otherwise, there were no issues. It posted high wait times for most of the day meaning it’s getting HOT in Disney World!

In a surprising turn of events, Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run both tied at an 85-minute wait, and Toy Story Mania hit an 80-minute wait! Rise of the Resistance struggled with a closure that caused the surge, but it’s possible the heat of the day was enough to keep people out of outdoor lines, such as Slinky Dog Dash.
