Disney World is currently hosting its runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend race, and we’ve been very curious to see how it would affect wait times around the park.
Higher wait times? We typically expect to see them during these weekends. What we can tell you is that we didn’t expect it to do THIS, and we’re still trying to figure out what exactly happened.
Magic Kingdom
Consider us shocked to see that for the first time in a WHILE, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the highest wait time of 80 minutes! TRON Lightcycle / Run wasn’t far behind, hitting 75 minutes, but we noticed that a lot of attractions didn’t truly jump up in wait times until the middle of the day and later. This could be because racers participating in the runDisney races choose to head back to their hotel first to take a quick nap before heading into the parks.
