Are you Target OBSESSED? If so, we’re about to drop some major tips.

We’ve been sharing deals on Target merchandise for a few years now, so we’ve spent quite a bit of time scouring the website and the app for the hottest finds. And throughout that process, we’ve noticed that there seems to be a pattern for sales and savings. So today, we’re cracking the code!
Of course, if you’re hoping to score a deal at Target, the first thing we recommend that you do is download the Target Circle app. It’s free to become a member, and it’s a great way to stay updated on the latest sales, save money through coupons, place orders, and even find items when you’re in the store.

Within the app, you should also check out the Weekly Ad. This mini newsletter includes the hottest deals and latest coupons available. The Weekly Ad is updated every Sunday between midnight and 2PM CT.

Target also hosts Circle Week promotions every once in a while, where Target Circle members can get bonus savings and exclusive discounts. So when you see Circle Week announcements, make sure to mark your calendar for shopping days!

But even more than these discounts, did you know that there are specific days of the week when Target marks down items? According to Coupon Cabin, the schedule looks like this:
- Monday: Accessories, Baby Items, Books, Electronics, and Kids’ Apparel
- Tuesday: Cleaning Products, Food, Pet Items, and Women’s Apparel
- Wednesday: Beauty & Health, Diapers, Furniture, Garde,n and Men’s Apparel
- Thursday: Decor, Housewares, Lingerie, Luggage, Shoes, Sporting, and Toys
- Friday: Auto, Hardware, Jewelry, and Makeup

Discounts can also come seasonally. Think about when the items you’re shopping for might be common to purchase, then head to Target shortly after that “season” is over. Coupon Cabin reports the discount seasons as such:
- Outdoor essentials are often discounted in August and September (end of summer)
- Fitness and storage are often discounted in January (New Year’s resolution season)
- Home goods and appliances are often discounted in May (wedding registry and graduation season)
- Baby items are often discounted in February and September
- Toys are often clearanced in January and July
- And of course, don’t forget Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and post-holiday sales!

Keep in mind that these are reported discount times based on sales in the past, and they are not guaranteed. This could be a good guideline to start your shopping, but you should keep an eye on the deals in the app just in case!

So there you go — some of the best times to shop at Target! We’ll make sure to keep you in the loop with more deals as they’re released.
