8 Magic Kingdom Rides Were SCREAMING for Help Yesterday in Disney World

Now listen, we’ve seen some weird things in Disney World.

Some of Disney’s past creations have genuinely been a little scary. We’ve had PLENTY of strange experiences in Disney World that a lot of you can likely relate to, and seen some pretty outrageous souvenirs, but I’m not gonna lie to you all — this is the WEIRDEST day in Disney World I’ve seen in a while.

Here’s a look at the Disney World wait times on August 1st, 2024.

Magic Kingdom

It’s not surprising to us that Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the highest wait time of 80 minutes, but what IS strange is that Mickey’s PhilharMagic was closed ALL day, and towards the end of the day, there was a storm that came in and closed ALL of the outdoor rides for a few hours. So yeah, basically Magic Kingdom rides and attractions were screaming for help all day.

Again, it’s not strange that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure had the highest wait, since it’s arguably the most popular ride in the park, but what WAS strange is that the highest wait time was only 55 minutes! Could it be that the rain in the area was keeping people away? Potentially, but these wait times all around the park were so low…has everyone just started avoiding EPCOT for some reason, and we’ve missed the memo?

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom appeared to be normal for the most part, with the highest wait being Flight of Passage at 80 minutes (not surprising), but…wait, what’s this? Kali River Rapids ALSO had an 80-minute wait?! HUH? What in the world happened? This was quickly followed by a multiple-hour closure for Kali River Rapids and other outdoor rides, as the Magic Kingdom storm also decided to pass over Animal Kingdom.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Oh, Hollywood Studios, you’re always a mystery. The highest wait time of the day was a race until the very end, but ultimately, the prize goes to Tower of Terror at 100 minutes! It promptly dropped back down to 35 minutes the next hour, so please, friends, if you see a sudden jump like this when you’re in the parks, DO NOT get in line! It’s likely that one of the elevator shafts is down and will (hopefully) be working again in a little while, which will bring the wait time back down significantly.
