Wait Times Are Long For This Hollywood Studios Ride, But They’re About to Get LONGER

Spring break crowds continue to take over Disney World, but fortunately, we didn’t see AS many people wait in line for the one Animal Kingdom ride we think is so far from worth it, it hurts us when people wait longer than 30-45 minutes.

Some of the most popular rides in Disney World are seeing some of the highest wait times in the whole resort, but we’re warning you now that while wait times for this Hollywood Studios rides is long now, we likely won’t see it go down any time soon. In fact, these are the last few weeks you can ride this attraction before it changes for good!

Magic Kingdom

TRON Lightcycle / Run hit a 95 minute wait at around 3 PM, which made us wonder if people drove into the parks that morning, then headed into the parks for a half day! What was more surprising, though, was how many closures we saw throughout the day. Haunted Mansion and Carousel of Progress were both closed for the last three hours of the day, Pirates of the Caribbean was closed for the first two, and a few additional rides had various hour-long closures throughout the day too.

Test Track hit a whopping 165 minute wait in the middle of the day, and stayed above a 100 minute wait practically all day…that was, until it was closed for the last four hours of the park day. EPCOT continues to be one of the most popular parks during spring break, so if you want to avoid crowds, this is NOT the park we recommend visiting.

Avatar Flight of Passage hit a 110 minute wait, which isn’t ideal any day of the week, but isn’t too bad for spring break. However, Kali River Rapids wasn’t far behind it with a 105 minute wait at one point (PLEASE don’t wait longer than 30-45 minutes). Kali River Rapids also did close for its final hour of operation, and Expedition Everest closed for two hours in a row, which isn’t great for a park that’s already got so many areas closed.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run hit a 140 minute wait right around the middle of the day, but Slinky Dog Dash wasn’t too far behind with a 130 minute wait not once, but TWICE! Shockingly, this park didn’t suffer from any closures, which is a huge win. However, it’s likely these could be some of the lowest wait times we’ll see for Smuggler’s Run for the coming few months, because once May hits, the NEW version of the ride will debut, and we’ve got a feeling it’ll be hot all summer.
