Was It Worth $18 to Skip the Lines in Disney World Yesterday?

Last week, Disney revealed that the cost of Genie+ would be moving to flexible pricing.

The paid replacement for FastPass+, Genie+ originally cost $15 per person per day in Disney World. With this new increase, it will vary from $15 to $22 depending on the day in October (that price is subject to change next month).

Yesterday, October 18th, the price for Genie+ was $18. So, we’re looking at the wait times to see if it was worth that price for the chance to skip the line!

Ultimately, the cost of Genie+ will depend on what you want to ride and where you’re spending your day. Yesterday, almost all of the rides at Hollywood Studios had wait times of over an hour for at least part of the day, so the price may be justified. However, at a park like Disney’s Animal Kingdom, depending on what time of day you rode them you could get on Kilimanjaro Safaris for as low as 20 minutes.
