Why You CANNOT Count on These Two Rides at Disney's Animal Kingdom

When you know you’re faced with a rainy day in Disney World, you can still absolutely make the most of it.

Outdoor attractions will often close when lightning is in the area, and that can put a pretty big damper on your Disney World day. If you’re in Animal Kingdom, this is especially true. There are only SIX rides open currently in the park, and TWO of them will give you major trouble on rainy days.

Magic Kingdom

TRON Lightcycle / Run had the highest wait time at 105 minutes, which isn’t too bad, but rain did cause some issues during the second half of the day. Thankfully, it wasn’t long-lived, so wait times didn’t jump too badly. If you’re heading to Disney World and know it’ll be a rainy day, be sure to watch the radar closely!

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Cosmic Rewind both had 85-minute waits, and while there were no outdoor attractions that got affected by the rain, Spaceship Earth, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Frozen Ever After all had a few small issues throughout the day.

Slinky Dog Dash hit a 120-minute wait before closing a few times due to rain, but Rise of the Resistance also hit some snags! Thankfully, the rest of the wait times in the park weren’t bad at all, so it was overall a good day for this park, which doesn’t always happen!
