Disney Reveals NEW Reservation Booking Date for Beak & Barrel After Tech Issues

If you tried to make Beak and Barrel reservations yesterday, you probably feel like trying to get them was worse than walking the plank.

After the reservations issue yesterday, everyone was wondering when they would get another chance at an opportunity to book the brand-new lounge. Well, Disney has officially announced when that is, so let’s take a look.

Beak and Barrel, Magic Kingdom’s newest pirate lounge, is set to open on August 29th. It’s been one of the most anticipated lounges to open in Disney World, and everyone has been excited about it for quite some time. It will be located right beside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Adventureland, offering pirates big and small all the appetizers and drinks they can handle (just kidding, there is a two-drink limit).

Reservations were supposed to open for booking on August 14th, but the Disney site was having technical difficulties due to the flooding of Disney fans who wanted to be among the first to experience the new dining location.

Disney World’s entire dining reservation system was undergoing maintenance. Every time we tried to make a reservation, we were met with a screen telling us there was a system issue — and the same went for everyone else. Due to the problems, reservations for the lounge were cancelled and moved to a new day!

Mark your calendars, and get ready for round two! Disney just announced that the next chance to get reservations for the lounge will be August 20th at 7 PM. Yes, PM!

If you head over to the Disney World website and click on the Beak and Barrel, you’ll be met with the following message, bolded in red:

“Ahoy, me hearties! Those seeking the treasures of The Beak and Barrel can begin charting their course when reservations launch on August 20, 2025 at 7 p.m. ET.

Looks like we’re going back for round two! Seeing them drop so late in the evening is strange, but our assumption is so fewer people will be on the site making reservations for OTHER things.

We hope the booking process goes a lot smoother, and works for everybody this next time. Hopefully, you’re able to get a day aligned with your next Disney trip. With Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party having just started, Magic Kingdom is about to get a whole lot busier!
