Riding This Disney World Attraction Was Nearly Impossible Yesterday

There’s at least ONE Disney World ride that acts up each day, and that’s something we’ve come to expect.

However, seeing one ride close for nearly the WHOLE day is pretty jarring, no matter what park it’s in. But when it’s in Animal Kingdom? Well, right now, that can throw off TONS of people’s day, because not only does it make riding the attraction much harder, but since SO much is closed in this park right now, it really puts a damper on things.

Let’s take a look at wait times from Thursday, April 30th.

Magic Kingdom

TRON Lightcycle / Run jumped up to a 90-minute wait right at the end of the day, but otherwise, most rides stayed at a really reasonable wait time — often well under an hour for most of the rides in the park. It did start out on the wrong foot, with Haunted Mansion, Mad Tea Party, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and the PeopleMover all closed for the first hour, but all four closures were resolved in the next two hours, though Barnstormer did also close for the final four hours of the park day.

Test Track closed for two hours in the morning, followed by Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure closing for two hours. Slinky Dog Dash hit a 75-minute wait, which isn’t that unexpected to see, but Tower of Terror ALSO hitting a 75-minute wait? Yeah, that one is a little stranger, especially since it jumped from 40 to 75 minutes in the span of one hour. This likely means that half of the elevators went down, doubling the wait time.
