If You Rode This Disney World Ride at 2 PM, We’re Shaking Our Heads at You

Sometimes, as wild as it sounds, it’s best to WAIT to ride a Disney attraction.

When Disney World has a rough day in terms of attraction closures, like we saw yesterday (and we’ve seen plenty of times before), it means that other less popular attractions can report higher wait times. Other times, the wait time seems to increase for no reason. In either case, there are some rides that will report lower wait times later in the day, and we strongly discourage you from getting in line when the wait is way longer than usual. Let us show you what we mean.

Here’s a full look at the Disney World wait times on January 23rd, 2025.

Magic Kingdom

Who’s ready for a massive shock? Peter Pan’s Flight had the highest wait time of 90 minutes yesterday after being down for nearly half the day, but that’s not all — TRON Lightcycle / Run didn’t get above a 65-minute wait all day! The park was also plagued with lots of ride issues, with a whopping 10 rides going down throughout the day, and the PeopleMover was down for nearly the whole day.

Epcot

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure came out on top with a 75-minute wait, but Soarin’ wasn’t far behind it with a 65-minute wait! EPCOT did struggle with ride closures during the day, but Spaceship Earth was down the WHOLE day with the exception of the final three hours the park was open.

ANOTHER shock! We weren’t surprised to see Flight of Passage with the highest wait of 70 minutes, but Dinosaur also hit a 70-minute wait about halfway through the day. It quickly dropped, so if you see a usually less popular attraction shoot up in wait time, we recommend coming back at a different time so you don’t wait half an hour longer (or more) than you normally would. If you jumped in line for Dinosaur at 2 PM, you probably made a BAD decision…

Rise of the Resistance hit a 125-minute wait after having issues in the morning and continued to deal with some closures later in the day as well. Slinky Dog Dash and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster also had closure issues towards the beginning of the day.
