This time of the year might bring some fun things to Disney World, like spring snacks and the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival, but it also brings something else we’re not as excited about…crowds.
Spring Break is a HUGE travel season for Orlando, which brings a lot of people to the city — and to Disney World. If you were hoping some of those crowds would be gone by now, we’ve got some bad news. Those crowds are still around and ride wait times are HIGH.
So how busy is it right now? Well, we’ve been seeing high prices for Genie+ AND we’ve seen Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes sell out quickly. That means if you don’t get Genie+, you’re looking at high wait times, some of multiple hours.
For example, Slinky Dog Dash in Hollywood Studios had a wait time yesterday of 200 minutes — yes, that’s over three hours. Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run also had multiple-hour waits. In Magic Kingdom, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had a wait time of up to 140 minutes, as did Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT.
So what can you do when the wait times are so high? Well, if you manage to purchase Genie+, it’s going to save you a lot of time, as will those Individual Lightning Lanes for rides that are a priority. Otherwise, you’ll want to keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app and hop on rides when the wait times go down — if they go down.

There’s not much anyone can do when there are people, so many many people everywhere. If you have family reasons for being there in such a busy season, you just expect things to be a bit chaotic. It’s not only the attractions; standing in line to use bathrooms or get food or a souvenir is lengthy too. Some women don’t even realize there are a few bathrooms on two sides inside. They just get in line like lemmings. At least the weather is free. Here in the north east it has been grey and rainy. I feel if Disney World had five more parks it would still be crowded. People love a Disney vacation. And so do I
