Don’t Wait 55 Minutes (!!!) To Ride Dumbo in Magic Kingdom, Ride THIS Instead

Things in Disney World have been picking up a bit since January, but that’s to be expected.

Of course, that does mean we’re starting to see higher wait times for rides, even for rides you wouldn’t even think would ever have higher wait times. Take Dumbo the Flying Elephant, for example; folks were waiting 55 minutes for that ride just yesterday, February 13th!​

We get it — if you have children, Dumbo the Flying Elephant is probably top on their list (and maybe yours, too) of things that are musts in Disney World. But is Dumbo worth waiting nearly an hour for? We’d say probably not, and the thing is, two other rides in Magic Kingdom are nearly identical (at least with ride experience) that you can ride with lower wait times.

First, you could choose to hop on over to Frontierland and visit The Magic Carpets of Aladdin. It’s the same ride as Dumbo, but you ride on a magic carpet rather than an elephant. Even better, this ride has a camel that randomly spits on people as they walk by.

If you want a similar ride but with a space theme, Astro Orbiter is also basically the same — you’ll find it in Tomorrowland. Both rides will have much lower wait times.
