It looks like the Fourth of July weekend in Florida is about to get better.

If you’re planning on heading to Disney World for the holiday, and you’re thinking about doing it road trip style, this news about gas prices might make you feel comfortable with that decision.

According to ClickOrlando, Florida gas prices are expected to drop leading up to the holiday weekend. July 4th is just around the corner, and millions of Americans are planning to road trip for their weekend getaways.

The average price of gasoline has dropped by 25.9 cents per gallon since last month. Now it is 46.9 cents cheaper than it was one year ago, per Click Orlando.

If you’re road tripping to Florida, you’ll find that right now the average price per gallon is $2.89. Once you get to Orlando specifically, prices in that area range from $2.63 to $3.15. The average nationally is $3.14 per gallon, which is 32.1 cents cheaper than it was a year ago. However, the price is up 1.1 cents from May 2025.

This holiday will be a great time to drive to Disney World, as the price of gas is set to hit the lowest price it’s ever been on the Fourth of July since 2021, according to projections per Click Orlando.
