Listen, when we say have a plan for Disney World, we MEAN IT.
That also means having backup plans in case your first plan doesn’t pan out. Those plans should NOT include saving your favorite ride, the one you’ll be devastated if you don’t get a chance to ride, until the end of the day, even if you think lines will be shorter (been there, done that, bad idea). Why? Well, because things can happen, where your favorite ride is closed for the last FOUR HOURS of the day and never reopens.
We track the Disney World wait times every single day in all four parks, and we’ve noticed that the newly refurbished Test Track attraction has reopened with a…rough start. Between weather delays and random closures, this ride is reporting a LOT of downtime lately. Here’s a full look at the Disney World wait times on August 21st, 2025.
Magic Kingdom
TRON Lightcycle / Run had the highest wait time of 85 minutes at the very end of the day, which makes total sense to us for two big reasons — one, people love to ride this ride in the dark with all the lights, but two, rain and other issues shut down NINE different rides! It was a rough day overall for Magic Kingdom, so pack extra patience during this rainy time of year.

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run hit a 110-minute wait towards the end of the day, which was SHOCKING! The ride did face some issues throughout the day, as did Slinky Dog Dash and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster (again, we don’t recommend waiting until the end of the day to ride an attraction that you’ll be crushed if it goes down at the end of the day before you can for this reason!), but it’s still been awhile since we’ve seen this ride jump up so high.
