Disney’s Pop Century is an awesome option for families looking to stay at Disney World on a budget…but there are ways it could be a lot better.

One of Disney World’s most popular Value Resorts, Pop Century offers fantastic theming through the decades, convenient transportation to the Disney Parks, and amenities that certainly check a lot of boxes when it comes to a comfortable stay. With all that said, we kindly ask Disney to implement a few rules that would take Pop Century to the next level!
Free Tie Dye Cheesecake!
When it comes to food, Pop Century isn’t exactly famous for its offerings — except the colorful Tie Dye Cheesecake! How incredible would it be if guests got a mini slice at check-in — FREE OF CHARGE?!?!

This creative dessert certainly catches the eye with a classic red velvet cake on the bottom, and a colorful cheesecake blend on top that’s creamy and light. Sometimes we’ll even trek all the way from the parks to this hotel just to grab it!

Not only would it be a unique staple that draws visitors to the hotel, but offering a free slice would likely allow Disney to advertise this dessert in a way that’s guaranteed to get more sales. It’s a win-win.
Everything POP! Open 24/7
You will not find any restaurants open at Disney World 24/7, but Pop Century’s food court — Everything POP! Shopping & Dining — to have SUPER-late-night offerings would be a game-changer.

Now, I understand that there are SEVERAL caveats with this request. For starters, hotels typically don’t run restaurants 24/7 because it’s usually not super cost-effective, nor is it fair to employees looking to get some shut-eye.

My suggestion would be to block off most areas and severely limit the menu to just include some grab-and-go items. Simplify the restaurant into something that can accommodate night-owls into the wee hours of the morning, and you create something that stands out among a plethora of hotels. I don’t expect this to ever happen, but I’ve had midnight cravings enough to know that I would’ve dropped top dollar at an open grab-and-go location.
Allow Pool Hopping
Pop Century and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort are within walking distance of one another and even share a Skyliner station. What they don’t share is pool access.

While Pop Century’s Hippy Dippy Pool is awesome in its own right, we’d love to be able to visit the Big Blue Pool and its pool bar at Art of Animation!

The freedom to go between pools and pick whichever one you’re vibing with that day would ABSOLUTELY be a game-changer. It’s also a rule that isn’t totally out of the realm of possibility — but Disney has not indicated this change is imminent.
