Disney Just Announced Who Will Play Mother Gothel in the Live-Action ‘Tangled’ and We Are OBSESSED

Well, what can we say? Mother knows best!

Disney just made a huge announcement, and not to be dramatic, all of us at AllEars are kinda losing our minds. If you’ve been keeping up to date with all of Disney’s new movies coming out, you might have heard of a live-action Tangled in the works. We just found out who’s playing Mother Gothel, and apparently, dreams do come true.

Mother Gothel will officially be played by Kathryn Hahn! She also played Agatha in Agatha All Along and WandaVision. Hahn was also in Bad Moms, Transparent, Tiny Beautiful Things, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

Disney has been keeping the details of the live-action Tangled movie under lock and key. We know that Milo Manheim will be playing Flynn Rider and Teagan Croft will be Rapunzel, but those are the only actors who have been announced. Michael Gracey is the director, with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson as the writer. Gracey worked on The Greatest Showman and Rocketman, and Robinson was part of Thor: Love and Thunder and Hawkeye.

We don’t have a timeline or further updates, but you can be sure we’ll keep an eye on everything, since we’ll need to be there on opening day at the theater with our matching popcorn buckets to watch it.

Recently, Hoppers, Pixar’s newest movie, has hit theaters and is absolutely crushing at the box office. Some have been saying it’s one of Pixar’s best original films since Coco.

Zootopia 2, which was also a box-office hit, has officially arrived on streaming. You can watch it on Disney+ along with the first Zootopia. Sounds like the perfect movie night to us!
