Want to See This Disney World Park With NO Crowds? This is The Time To Go

Visiting certain sections of the Disney World parks right now is pretty tough with so much construction going on. This is especially true for Disney’s Animal Kingdom since two ENTIRE lands are currently behind walls.

While wait times can still get high for the open attractions in the morning and afternoon, now we’ve got proof that, if the park is open past 6 PM, there’s really only ONE reason to stay in the park — otherwise, there’s almost no point.

Let’s take a look at wait times from Thursday, March 12th!

Magic Kingdom

While we’re not surprised to see TRON Lightcycle / Run hit its highest wait time of 90 minutes at the very end of the day, the park didn’t have a great start, with Mad Tea Party, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure all down the first hour. It’s also easy to tell that it’s getting warmer in Disney World again, because Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, a water ride, easily stayed as one of the highest wait times for the majority of the day!

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind leapt to a 120 minute wait an hour AFTER rope dropping began, which is curious. The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Test Track, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure all had minor closures throughout the day, but fortunately, they all were short-lived. Though, we’re very curious to know WHAT in the world could be affecting The Seas with Nemo and Friends, one of the simplest rides in the whole park.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Avatar Flight of Passage started off the day with its highest wait of 95 minutes, but we now have further proof that staying in Animal Kingdom after about 6 PM is, well, kinda pointless sometimes. At 7 PM and 8 PM, there were only THREE rides still open in the park, as both Kilimanjaro Safaris and Kali River Rapids had both closed for the day. With so much construction happening in the park right now, it’s no wonder the wait times for the remaining three rides were egregiously low (which, that’s a great time to ride them, but otherwise, there’s not much to do) — everyone had left to do more at other parks!

Now that kids are beginning to go on spring break vacations and the weather is warming up, Slinky Dog Dash is taking back its top wait time spot. Yesterday, it hit 95 minutes at 2 PM, which soon will be right at the heat of the day and when we strongly recommend NOT getting in line to ride (take our word for it, it’s brutal).
