There are two kinds of people in Disney World: those who get up early to rope drop the parks and those who prefer to sleep in and get to the parks later.
However, you know that old saying about how the early bird gets the worm? In many cases, the early bird (aka the rope dropper) often gets a chance to ride some of Disney World’s most popular rides with lower wait times without having to rely on Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Lightning Lane Single Pass. That’s certainly the case with EPCOT’s most popular ride, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
When looking at wait times for EPCOT, we noticed that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind had its lowest wait time, a mere 35 minutes, at park opening. This ride just recently did away with its virtual queue, so the options to ride are standby and Lightning Lane Single Pass. But with the wait time at park opening so low, you could probably get away with rope dropping EPCOT and hopping on the ride first thing with a short wait.
So if you’re wanting to go on a spin around Cosmic Rewind without paying for the Lightning Lane option, you’ll want to set that alarm and get to EPCOT for rope drop (or even better, Early Theme Park Entry, if you qualify).
