Unexpected High Temperatures in Orlando May Have Caused Wait Time Shakeups at Disney World

It may be February, but Orlando seems a little confused this week.

Why? Well, the high temperature earlier this week was 87 degrees Fahrenheit…in WINTER! Technically it’s not spring yet, so we were shocked to see such an intense rise in temperature. When we took a look at the recent wait times, we were surprised to see some unlikely competitors rise to beat out the normal high-wait time champions, and then we realized — those high temperatures really ARE affecting more than we originally thought.

Here’s a full look at the Disney World wait times on February 13th, 2025.

Magic Kingdom

TRON Lightcycle / Run had its highest wait time of the day during the first HOUR of park time, which was 95 minutes! Multiple attractions also had issues throughout the day, specifically in Fantasyland. In fact, Under The Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid fully closed three hours before the end of the park day!

Epcot

We don’t know WHAT is going on over in The Land Pavilion, but Soarin’ had the highest wait time of 70 minutes! That means it beat out Frozen Ever After AND Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure by 10 minutes. However, it has been unseasonably hot in Orlando this week, and with Soarin’s queue being all indoors, that could have something to do with it.

Flight of Passage hit its high of 75 minutes in the middle of the day at 2 PM, but that wasn’t far off from its 70-minute wait during the first and last park hours of the day. We’re starting to find a pattern — maybe the heat really DID keep most people away from outdoor queues during the heat of the day.

Toy Story Mania actually had the highest wait time of the day at 90 minutes! Interestingly enough, it was right around noon, one of the hottest points of the day, AND this queue is pretty much all indoors or is at least covered.
