We talk all the time about how hot the summer is in Disney World, and that can be a big problem for people, because staying hydrated WITH electrolytes becomes much more difficult.
However, we don’t often touch on what the heat does to some of the rides in Disney World, but yesterday’s wait times show us that we should. In fact, we’re getting worried about two rides in particular, because from what we’re seeing, if it’s the heat that’s causing these issues? We could be in for a looooong summer.
Let’s take a look at wait times from Saturday, May 16th!
Magic Kingdom
The longest wait time of the day went to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at 85 minutes, which is especially impressive since neither Tiana’s or TRON (which typically has the highests wait time) had closures throughout the day. Though, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh seems to be having trouble again, as it closed three times throughout the day, with Space Mountain not far behind.

Ride issues with Twilight Zone Tower of Terror strike again, causing this ride to have the highest wait time of the day at 80 minutes. The hour prior, it had only been at 25 minutes, which is a HUGE tell that half of the ride went down. This seems to be happening more and more frequently, which is making us a little concerned. Is this one we’ll have to watch out for this summer? We’ll keep a close eye out.
