Can you believe we’re almost in April? Time flies and it flies even faster at Disney World that sometimes it’s hard to keep up. Fortunately, we’re up to the task!
Magic Kingdom is likely seeing a bit of calm before its Tiana’s Bayou Adventure storm later this summer, EPCOT is in the thick of its 2024 Flower & Garden Festival, and the wait times at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom were kind of shocking! We noted the wait times for all four parks on March 18th, 2024, and we saw some surprising results. Let’s check it out!
Despite mid to late March being Spring Break season in Florida, the wait times at three of the four Disney World Parks weren’t all that bad on March 18th! Magic Kingdom’s Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Peter Pan’s Flight hovered around an hour wait while everything else was around 30 minutes or less, and over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Slinky Dog Dash had a consistently high wait time while other E-ticket rides like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance bounced around 45 to 60 minute waits. Overall, nothing unusual and certainly not the worst we’ve seen.
The stories of the day were EPCOT and Disney’s most underrated park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom. EPCOT, which is hosting its second festival of the year, had tough wait times all day. The park had FOUR rides reach over hour-long waits once or multiple times throughout the day and was the ONLY Disney World Park to have this issue.
Animal Kingdom, on the other hand, WAS INCREDIBLE! Avatar Flight of Passage reached some high wait times, but it also hung around 20 minutes quite frequently and was even as low as a 10-minute wait! WHAT?! Most of the other attractions stayed around 30 minutes or far less — serving as another reminder that if you turn Animal Kingdom into a full-day experience, it just might be the most enjoyable and relaxing day of your trip!
