The Big DANGER With Riding Rise of the Resistance at Night in Disney World

It’s the holiday season, and that means we’re about to have some BUSY days in Disney World!

When kids are out of school and businesses are closed, families take off on vacation, whether that’s to see family or to hit up Disney World. And with Thanksgiving week approaching, we’ve got some important info to share!

Thursday, November 17th might have been the last “normal” day in Disney World that we see for a little while, considering many people may head down to the parks after work on Friday afternoon if they’re off for all of Thanksgiving week. In the next 10 days or so, we could see higher wait times and crowd levels in the parks because of the holiday.

However, in addition to some very typical wait times, we also noticed something unique we wanted to point out. At the end of the night (about the last two hours or so), Rise of the Resistance in Hollywood Studios spiked up to a FOUR-HOUR wait. It looks like the ride had a closure earlier in the daytime, so guests were likely rushing back to the ride to hop in line before the end of the night.

Closures are common with Rise of the Resistance, so that’s a danger that you risk any time you hop in the standby queue. And while the wait times for many rides can go down a little at the end of the night, you might find yourself waiting for a LONG time if there was a closure of that ride earlier in the day.

If you do see a popular ride go down at some point during the day, carefully watch for it to (hopefully) reopen. Right when it reopens, you might be able to hop in line quickly and avoid waiting too long.
