Out of All The Rides in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, We Didn’t Expect THIS One to Give Us Trouble

When Disney World rides have issues, they usually go down and close until the problem is resolved. But sometimes…sometimes that’s not what happens.

It’s also possible for rides to keep functioning, but only at half capacity, or a limited capacity in some range if there’s only a problem with SOME parts of the ride. We see this happen most often with Tower of Terror, and the telltale sign is typically that the wait time doubles out of seemingly nowhere (or gets cut in half suddenly — that usually means it’s back at full capacity). We’ve noticed an interesting trend happening to one of the rides over in Disney World, and while it hasn’t closed fully, we’re getting nervous it’s going to get to that point.

Let’s take a look at the wait times for Monday, November 17th, 2025. 

Magic Kingdom

TRON Lightcycle / Run jumped up to an 80-minute wait just two hours before park close, which makes sense when we remember most people prefer to ride TRON at night for the lights. However, it dropped to 55 minutes the next hour, which was interesting — it’s something we’ll be watching for sure. While Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was closed for the first two hours of the day (after being closed ALL day yesterday), we were happy to see it running smoothly the rest of the day.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind just barely beat out Test Track with a 95-minute wait, but both of them are certainly some of the highest wait times you’ll see in the park at this time. Living with the Land and Spaceship Earth both had a few issues throughout the day, but they weren’t too major, so hopefully no one missed out on their mid-day ride naps!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

As it was a party night in Hollywood Studios, we were curious to see how it would affect wait times. While they were lower overall and Rise of the Resistance and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway having issues wasn’t ideal, nothing shocked us more than seeing Toy Story Mania had the highest wait time of 80 minutes! It immediately dropped to 45 minutes the next hour, so we’ve got a feeling it was due to an issue inside the attraction, which appears to be becoming more common. Should we be concerned?
