Um…Is Magic Kingdom’s Haunted Mansion Okay?

It’s no secret that ride closures happen often in Disney World. Sometimes, technical things just go wrong. Other times, bad weather can close rides. Sometimes, it’s something else.

Well, we don’t know what’s happening with Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom, but this ride was closed for multiple hours yesterday, and this isn’t the first time this has happened.

So what’s going with Haunted Mansion? Well, we don’t know. But the ride was closed at park open and remained closed until noon. So much for rope dropping Haunted Mansion, right? However, the ride did eventually reopen, and the wait times were still relatively low throughout the rest of the day.

So what should you do if your favorite ride in Disney World is closed? Well, if it’s just a temporary closure, keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app to see when it reopens. If you catch it quickly enough, you may end up getting to ride it with a really low wait right after it reopens.
