Disney in the spring is a wild time.
There are tons of new snacks to try, Disney resorts are decorated for the occasion, and baby ducks are everywhere! But it’s not all good — Spring Break is a busy time in Disney World, so at times it can feel unbearably crowded. You should expect long waits (and you might want to purchase Genie+ while you’re at it.)
On April 7th, when we were walking around the parks, the crowds were no joke! Wait times stayed high for the most part — in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Avatar Flight of Passage reached a wait time of over FOUR hours!
But wait times aren’t all you have to look out for on your vacation. NINE of the rides in Disney World experienced some difficulty and had to close unexpectedly on this day. Often, these closures can get back up and running fairly quickly, but on this day two rides were down for the better part of the day.
Pirates of the Caribbean was closed for over three hours, and Expedition Everest was closed for over SIX hours. So, keep in mind it’s important to stay flexible on your trip — and maybe make sure to hit your must-rides at the beginning of the day just in case!
