We Are BEGGING You Not To Make This Disney World Ride Mistake

Some rides in Disney World fully close whenever there’s the slightest issue, which shuts the whole ride down until it can be fixed.

Other rides, however, don’t need to close fully, and instead only close part of the attraction. While it’s great for those in line, making it to where they don’t need to be cleared out of the queue, and they’ll still move forward, but it does double the wait time in seconds. We’re telling you now, just like we’ve told you before, if you get in line and you notice the wait time double, or you’re checking your My Disney Experience app and notice it, that is NOT the time to get in line.

Let’s take a look at wait times from Thursday, June 11th!

Magic Kingdom

TRON Lightcycle / Run hit a 95 minute wait two hours before the end of the park day, which is to be expected, but we’re once again concerned about The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. The ride closed three times throughout the day, and while that’s far from the worst we’ve seen, it still has us concerned. We’re just waiting for Disney to announce a refurbishment at this point.

Epcot

It looks like people may want to start riding Test Track when it’s dark out, rather than during the day (which we understand, it gets HOT), because Test Track hit a 120 minute wait in the last hour of the day. The ride did also close twice earlier in the day, which also could have contributed to the longer wait.

Avatar Flight of Passage started out at a 115 minute wait, though immediately dropped to 40 minutes the next hour, which means it was likely operating at only half capacity at opening. Wait times were low all around for the park, with the end of the day seeing 5/6 rides below a 15 minute wait!

Meanwhile, it was a ROUGH day for high wait times in Hollywood Studios. Twilight Zone Tower of Terror ended the day with a 115 minute wait, though it had only been 60 minutes the hour prior, so this ride also struggled with a partial closure that bumped up its wait time. If you see this happen, we highly recommend choosing to wait to get in line another time, unless it’s at the end of the day, like this, and you’d be devastated if you didn’t get a chance to ride.
