We take a look at wait times in Disney World every single day so we can spot trends to let you know when the best time to ride attractions might be.
Now, when it comes to long lines at rope drop, we’ve come to expect that some rides will have huge waits right after the park opens. However, sometimes a ride pops up with a huge wait time at park opening to surprise us. That’s exactly what happened yesterday.
In Magic Kingdom, we almost always expect that rides like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan’s Flight, and TRON Lightcycle / Run will have long wait times at rope drop because these are the rides that everyone tends to visit first, thinking they’ll get shorter lines if they do so. However, we didn’t expect a ride like The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh to have a long wait at rope drop, but that’s what happened yesterday.
This isn’t a ride that even normally has long wait times to begin with throughout the day, so it’s surprising that so many folks would choose to rope drop this ride, but that seems to be what happened. The wait time for Winnie the Pooh was 50 minutes at park opening, which means the line for Pooh was longer than the line for Peter Pan’s Flight, which has notoriously long wait times.
We’re not sure if this is a trend or a one-time fluke, but we recommend keeping an eye on wait times on the My Disney Experience app to see what rides you should and shouldn’t rope drop.
