15 (!!!) Disney World Rides Went Down Yesterday

We don’t know what we expected when we looked at Disney World’s wait times from yesterday, but it certainly wasn’t this.

A few rides have closed for refurbishment (or permanently, in the case of TriceraTop Spin) around the parks, which means wait times were bound to adjust. However, it seems that Disney World rides are NOT liking these colder temperatures because WOW that’s a lot of temporary ride closures!

Magic Kingdom

TRON Lightcycle / Run hit an 80 minute wait closer to the end of the day, which isn’t something we’ve seen in a while! Oftentimes people rush there at the beginning of the day, causing wait times to increase, then it drops after rope drop, and doesn’t get up higher than it did in the morning as the evening hits. We feel it’s also important to mention that Magic Kingdom had a total of EIGHT rides go down throughout the day, mostly before 2PM.

Epcot

Surprisingly, Soarin’ had the longest wait yesterday of 120 minutes! Yes, that means it beat out Remy’s AND Frozen Ever After, however Frozen Ever After was closed for the majority of the day. If that wasn’t bad enough, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure also closed for the last two hours of the day as well.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Normally we wouldn’t be surprised to see Flight of Passage up at a 150 minute wait, but during this time of year, it’s a little unusual. However, it jumped up that high when Expedition Everest went down, and that ride had major trouble all day. Na’vi River Journey also had some issues towards the end of the day, which isn’t seen very often.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Both Slinky Dog Dash and Rise of the Resistance tied at 110 minutes, which wasn’t totally unforeseen since both rides, plus Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, were closed at the start of the day. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway also had an issue later on in the day, but within an hour, it was back up.
