At This Point, We Think Magic Kingdom Needs a Hard Reset

We thought Disney World rides were doing better, seeing as they had fewer breakdowns, but it appears that maybe we spoke too soon.

It’s normal for Disney World rides to go down every now and then, but it’s never convenient when they do. However, it gets worse when popular attractions go down and cause other wait times to soar. In yesterday’s case, a LOT of Disney World’s most popular rides had issues, especially in two parks.

Magic Kingdom

TRON Lightcycle / Run had the highest wait time of 105 minutes, but what was more shocking was how many attractions had closure issues throughout the day. We thought they were doing better, but it appears yesterday was a rough day for Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Haunted Mansion, Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, and the PeopleMover.

EPCOT

EPCOT also majorly struggled with ride closures yesterday, which was a big reason why Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Cosmic Rewind both tied for the highest wait at 85 minutes. Throughout the day, Gran Fiesta Tour, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Frozen Ever After all had issues.

Flight of Passage leaped up to a 130-minute wait early in the day but fell down to only 45 minutes in the second to last hour of the day. Thankfully, Dinosaur was the only attraction that struggled with one ride closure during the day.

Slinky Dog Dash and Tower of Terror both tied at 90-minute waits, which isn’t something you see every day! Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway did struggle with two different closures throughout the day, but all in all, that’s not too bad in our book.
