Disney World is changing pretty significantly right now, with all the construction going on, but we have to admit, there are a few things happening we don’t fully understand.
With Tropical Americas under construction and Bluey’s Wild World not opening until May 26th, Disney’s Animal Kingdom currently has the fewest attractions available, and yet wait times seem to soar the highest. Meanwhile, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has some of the most thrilling rides in the park, and we’ve seen those wait times get VERY high in years past, but they’re remaining steadily low. What does this mean for your trip? Well, let’s talk about what we’re seeing.

Magic Kingdom
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad had the highest wait time of 85 minutes, even without any closures throughout the day, which is always a big win, especially since the ride recently reopened after a lengthy closure. The park didn’t have the greatest start to the day with three rides closed, but fortunately they all straightened out after an hour or two.

It’s no surprise that Avatar Flight of Passage had the highest wait time of 105 minutes, but it is interesting it was just in the second hour of the park day, indicating to us that it’s possible people could be getting more likely to rope drop this attraction again. The ride’s wait time did drop significantly by the end of the day, so we do know it’s entirely possible to not wait over an hour for it right now. If you want a lower wait time, we suggest keeping an eye on it all day and waiting for it to drop later on!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
We are, honestly, a little shocked that wait times in Hollywood Studios aren’t higher. With so many popular attractions available, for years, we saw this park as having some of the highest wait times overall for multiple rides, but yesterday, the highest wait time was Slinky Dog Dash at only 75 minutes. That was WITH Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway going down for two hours as well. It’s possible we could see things change quickly next week with the reopening of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, but needless to say, it’s also possible other wait times could remain low for a majority of the summer.
