Why Rope Drop Will ALWAYS Be Important in Magic Kingdom

We know it’s hard to get up early when you’re on vacation, but a Disney World vacation requires some certain things that you just wouldn’t do on…say…a beach vacation.

Now, you can sleep in on some days, but if you’re planning a day in Magic Kingdom, we would suggest that be the day you don’t sleep in. In fact, get up early and take advantage of Early Theme Party Entry if you can. Otherwise, you’ll want to be at Magic Kingdom at rope drop (when the park opens) because you’ll be able to do SO much more than if you had slept in.​

So why do we keep telling you to rope drop Magic Kingdom? We’ll give you an example. When we’re looking at wait times for rides for yesterday, a total of 17 rides had wait times of 25 minutes or less, with the majority of those wait times being 15 minutes or less. Imagine how many rides you could knock out before things get busier later in the day? There was NO wait for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which recently reopened, making it one of the most popular rides in the parks.
